Write one label to fill the sheet, or paste a list from your spreadsheet for a different address on each label.
- 3
Download and print at 100%
Save the PDF, print a test on plain paper, then print on the label sheet with scaling set to "Actual size".
Browse every template index
Each index lists pages built from the same sheet data, with the label maker preloaded on every one.
- Free Avery®-compatible label templates by code 67 pages Find the code printed on your Avery package (5160, 8160, L7160…) to get its exact geometry and a template that prints aligned. 376 codes: 324 US Letter sheets and 52 A4 sheets, the most-searched first, then grouped by product type. LabelGrid is not affiliated with Avery; codes are used only to name the sheet each template fits.
- Label ideas: Halloween, Christmas and more 43 pages 67 label ideas in 8 groups, each with the sheet that fits the job, a pre-filled design and sample wording. The 15 seasonal ideas come first: the next Halloween (Saturday, October 31, 2026) is 7 days after this list's data date (October 24, 2026), and the next Christmas is Friday, December 25, 2026; their pages add a print plan for runs of 25 to 150.
- Label sizes: every sheet layout compared 10 pages 81 label sizes that at least two different sheet layouts share, 562 sheets in all: 46 US Letter rectangles, 15 round, oval and disc sizes and 20 A4 sizes. Each page lists every sheet with one label size, so you can see which codes share a layout and which only look similar.
- Labels per sheet: templates by label count 49 pages Know how many labels your sheet has but not the code? 49 counts are shared by at least two different layouts: 30 on US Letter (1 to 154 per sheet) and 19 on A4 (1 to 189 per sheet). Pick the count, then match the label size and margins against your box.
- Label templates for OnlineLabels, Herma and more 158 pages Templates for 529 label sheets from 42 brands other than Avery, grouped by brand. Each page gives the exact label size, margins and pitch, the Avery code with the same layout when there is one, and a PDF that prints aligned at 100 % scale. Brand names only identify the sheets; LabelGrid is not affiliated with any of them.
- Avery label guides: Word, Docs, Pages, Canva 60 pages 60 guides: 12 sheet codes (5160, 8160, 5163, 5161, 5162, 5164, 5167, 5168, 5366 and 5395 on US Letter, L7160 and L7163 on A4) in 5 apps. Each one uses the exact numbers of its sheet: the Word New Label values, table sizes for Docs and Pages, LibreOffice Format values and Canva guide positions.
- LabelGrid compared with other label tools 4 pages Each comparison uses only facts we could check on the other product's public pages on October 24, 2026, links every source, and says when the other tool is the better choice. The products compared: hlabels, a web service with add-ons for design apps (Ecardify); OnlineLabels Maestro, an online label designer tied to a label shop (OnlineLabels); LabelsMerge, an add-on for Google Docs and Google Sheets (LabelsMerge); Avery Design & Print, a free online designer run by the label manufacturer (Avery Products Corporation); and Microsoft Create, a collection of designed label templates for Microsoft Word (Microsoft). LabelGrid runs in the browser with no account; its free tier prints one full sheet per PDF and Pro will cost $19 one-time but is not on sale yet. Published one-time prices: LabelsMerge $79.99 and hlabels $89; the other 3 show no one-time price on the pages we checked. When another tool is the better pick: hlabels if you already design labels in Canva, Word, Google Docs or Adobe Express and only need the sheet alignment step; OnlineLabels Maestro if you buy your blank labels from OnlineLabels anyway, which activates the designer at no extra cost; LabelsMerge if your mailing list already lives in Google Sheets and you want the labels as an editable Google Doc; Avery Design & Print if you want ready-made designs, clipart, curved text and your own images on Avery products; Microsoft Create if you want a ready-made seasonal or decorative design and already use Microsoft Word.
- Alternatives to popular label tools 5 pages Leaving a label tool? Each page lists several real options, LabelGrid among them, with pros and cons restated from facts checked on October 24, 2026, and says when staying put is the better call. Limits worth weighing, taken from each product's own pages: hlabels (frequent free users get a footer-mark on their printouts); OnlineLabels Maestro (the free trial prints a watermark across designs); LabelsMerge (it only works inside Google Docs and Google Sheets); Avery Design & Print (you are asked to sign in before you start designing); and Microsoft Create (the templates are Word documents, edited in Word or Word for the web).
Why your labels line up
Facts you can check yourself before you spend a sheet of labels.
-
Your list stays on your device
Addresses you type or paste are turned into a PDF inside your browser. Your list is never uploaded or stored on a server.
-
Open, credited data
Sheet geometry comes from the gLabels template database (MIT licence), and 114 of the most-printed codes are also checked against the size their maker publishes. Every sheet page lists the label size and margins it uses.
-
Test before you print
Print the alignment test on plain paper first and hold it against your sheet. It costs a sheet of copy paper, not a sheet of labels.
-
One fix, every page
Corrections are made in the sheet data, not page by page, so one fix updates the template, the blank PDF and every page that uses that sheet.

Questions before you print
The short answers. Each sheet page also lists its own measurements and print settings.
Is LabelGrid really free?
Yes. Choosing a sheet, designing a label, filling a whole sheet with it, merging one sheet of addresses from a pasted list, the blank templates and the alignment test are all free, with no account and no trial period. Pro is an optional one-time upgrade for longer lists and extras such as .xlsx files, barcodes and QR codes.
Will the labels line up with my Avery 5160 sheet?
The PDF uses the published geometry of the sheet: for 5160, thirty 1″ × 2 5/8″ labels in three columns and ten rows. Alignment usually fails at the print dialog, so print at 100% scale ("Actual size", not "Fit to page"), and test on plain paper first. If your printer is a little off, the offset nudge corrects it.
Can I print addresses from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Select the rows in your spreadsheet, copy them and paste them into the list box; tabs, commas and semicolons are recognised and the first row can be a header. Each row becomes one label. The free plan merges one full sheet; Pro removes the limit and also opens .xlsx files directly.
My sheet is not Avery. Is it supported?
Probably. The picker covers 905 sheet codes from 43 brands, including OnlineLabels, Herma, Avery Zweckform and SheetLabels, and many store brands copy a common Avery layout. Search by code, or browse by label size and labels per sheet, and compare the measurements printed on your pack.
Do you see the names and addresses I paste?
No. The list is processed by a script running in your own browser and the PDF is created on your device. The site only counts anonymous page views to learn which pages are useful; the privacy policy lists exactly what is recorded.
Is LabelGrid made by Avery?
No. LabelGrid is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Avery or any other label brand. Brand names and product codes are used only to say which sheet a layout fits; the templates are compatible layouts built from public measurements.
LabelGrid is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Avery or any other label brand. Avery® and other product codes are used only to identify which sheet a compatible layout fits. Measurements come from the open gLabels template database.
